Let’s talk about dessert.
Not the “I shouldn’t be eating this” kind.
Not the “I’ll make up for it tomorrow” kind.
The kind you actually sit down for.
The kind you taste.
The kind you enjoy.
Because here’s something we do not talk about enough:
Eating dessert can actually improve your relationship with food.
When Dessert Isn’t the Enemy
When we label foods as “bad,” we tend to crave them more. Restriction often leads to preoccupation, guilt, or the all-or-nothing spiral.
But when dessert is allowed, planned, and enjoyed without shame, something interesting happens:
This is where gentle nutrition comes in.
Gentle nutrition is the idea that we can care about nutrients and long-term health without obsessing. It is the balance between satisfaction and nourishment.
